Sometimes when you install various software applications on your computer, little programs like the Bing toolbar will slip through unnoticed and the next time you start your web browser, you’ll see a tool bar that you didn’t intend on installing. This somehow happened with the Bing Bar on one of my computers.

One option is simply to disable the toolbar so that it isn’t displayed on your web browser. This is quite easy to do and it only takes a couple of seconds.

This doesn’t actually remove Bing from your computer but it will hide it so you don’t have it taking up space on your screen.

In Internet Explorer, you simply right click on an empty area of your toolbar and a menu like the one to the right will pop up. Then you just click the toolbar that you don’t want to use and the check mark next to it will go away. Any tool bars that have check marks next to them will be displayed and any that don’t won’t.

How to Uninstall Bing Toolbar

Uninstall A ProgramIf you would rather just uninstall Bing, it’s quite simple to do this as well. All you have to do is click on the start menu and then type “Control Panel” in the search box. When you see Control Panel displayed in the search results, click the link to open it. Then click the link that says “Uninstall a Program” that is found under the “programs heading”.

Next, find the Bing Bar in the list of programs that are installed on your computer and click on it to select it. Then click on the uninstall option and a popup window will show a message that says, “Are you sure you want to uninstall Bing bar?” Select yes and and it will be uninstalled.
